Insurance Questions

I participate in a limited number of private insurance panels, including: 

  • Independence Blue Cross/Blue Shield

  • AmeriHealth  

  • Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield 

  • Tricare Standard


I am happy to provide a free telephone consultation regarding my out-of-pocket fees and policies as well as assistance to help you navigate the insurance system.
If I am not in your insurance network and you don't know what your insurance covers for outpatient mental health/behavioral health services, you can call your insurance company and ask the following questions:


  1. Does my plan have an out-of-network benefit for outpatient mental health services?

  2. If yes, is there a deductible for out-of-network individual and/or family psychotherapy?

  3. If yes, what is the deductible?

  4. What is the reimbursement rate the insurance plan pays the provider for services?

  5. Does the service need to be preauthorized by the insurance company before services are provided?

  6. Is there a limit on the number of sessions for which coverage is provided?
